Our backyard streams and waterfalls are custom-designed to look like they’ve always been there. They’re lower maintenance as they don’t host wildlife, but they do attract birds and frogs – to name a few – and the view is always captivating.
While these systems are a showstopper on their own, they can be added to other Aquascape water features like Eco Ponds, Recreation Ponds and Decorative Fountains. These are also a great feature if you have a hilly plot around Hobart and you want to utilise the flow of the land without building retention walls.

Like anything else, these features thrive when taken care of properly. If time is a deciding factor for you when chosing your water feature, here are some things Pondless owners do to keep their water feature in good condition.
In Pondless Systems, debris finds itself where the water ends – on the rocks above the reservoir. Unless you’ve a lot of leaf litter in the area, we recommend clearing it away once every week or so to prevent the debris from filtering down through the reservoir.
Water levels can drop with evaporation, interaction, low edges or the odd puncture.
Pond pumps die if they run dry and it voids the warrantee. There are a few things that can cause water loss, so just keep an eye on the waterline and get in touch with us if it drops too frequently.

We can include an automatic top-up function during or after the build so your pond can further take care of itself.
These natural pools are chemical free, but there are solutions that need to be administered for the filtration to be effective and to manage things like algae blooms. We’ll be able to tell you how much beneficial bacteria you’ll need and how frequently you’ll need it to keep your swimming pond clear and safe.
Don’t want to think about it?
Auto-dosers are an optional extra that can be programmed to dispense the right amount of bacteria for your water feature at exactly the right time.
Pumps need annual maintenance to retain the warrantee and to make sure you get the best out of your investment.
